Years ago, I was an artist. Actually started college with art as a major. Didn’t think about it, and didn’t do much work, yet I received small awards for artistic endeavors. I moved away from it for a while, then reentered college in the field of Commercial Art.
A call to ministry overrode all else. Back to school. I realized the background in art served well in ministry, but it was directed to newsletters, special services that needed a touch of dramatic flair, and more that fed a growing congregation.
Energy healing became my next passion. Felt a bit out of place, and ahead of its time, in Texas. So I entered nursing thinking it would flow together. It didn’t. Nursing stifled the healer and the minister. It was while nursing I came to understand the difference between gifts, skills and talents.
Now it is back to art. I’m excited and grateful. I have moved from Texas, to Florida this year, and as of January 1, 2015, will be living on the island of Dominica. As an artist.
